The chassis is an exact replication of the original monocoque unibody structure down to the pressed steel roof spider. The only departure is the use of electro-galvanized sheet steel in the construction. The chassis, at over 12,000 pounds per degree is stiffer than any other chassis on the market, and is made up of over 244 laser cut and bent or pressed parts.

Pressed steel roof and beautifully finished body.

The suspension features the original race car layout. So original are the GT40 continuation models that two thirds of the parts are interchangeable with an original. Bilstein shocks are supplied along with H&R springs.

The recommended power source is a specially prepared Roush engine with the new RBT/ZF style 5-speed transaxle, but owners also have the option to fit a Ford-based 289, 302, 351W small block, 5.0 Coyote or 427FE big block.

The Superformance GT40 MK II

A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions during the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966. While developing the exhilarating GT40 MK II continuation, engineers went to great lengths to ensure authenticity. So authentic, that we can legally use the name “GT40”. The GT40 MK II also carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official GT40 registry. The Superformance GT40 is available in both MK I and MK II models.

The GT40 MK II continuation is built to exacting standards - in fact over two thirds of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with that of an original car, including the 'monocoque" style chassis.

The Superformance GT40 MK II also boasts a pressed steel roof and beautifully finished body, is available in right and left hand drive, and can be fitted with either 427 FE or 289/302/351W engines.
